Marianne Williamson writes in her book A Return to Love, “A change in consciousness produces miracles.” While there are many ways to create a shift in consciousness, one way is to acknowledge your dreams and take action to bring them into reality. Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to dream big. Be bold. Expect miracles.
When you take the time to reflect on your heart’s deepest desires, your inward meditation reshapes your consciousness. You are no longer focused on the hectic world around you, but rather the quiet whisperings of the Divine within. Once you begin to make your heart’s desire the focus of your actions, that new awareness is locked in.
Dream About Your Future
Imagine that sitting next to you is a divine entity. It can be anyone who represents a higher power for you. This entity is holding your hand and encouraging you to dream about your future with an open and brave heart.
Imagine yourself five years from now. What do you want your life to look like? What one thing do you want to create in your reality that you don’t have right now?
Take a minute to visualize your future self. No need to force it, just consider the question and allow the vision to come to you. What are you doing? Who are you with? Where do you live? How is your future life different from you life today?
More importantly, what significant transformation would need to take place for this vision to become your future reality?
And, finally, what is standing in the way of you following this path and claiming this dream as your new reality?
Whatever the answer is to the last question, know that it is not permanent. You are only allowing it to block you because you do not see a way around it. But there is always a way. Deepak Chopra says that when you expand your consciousness, obstacles dissolve. How might you open yourself to new possibilities by shifting your consciousness?
Believe in Your Dreams
Dreams are like magic; they reveal themselves through believing in the possible, not the impossible. Once you make a decision and put your heart and soul into believing it, then the world around you conspires to make it so! In other words, when one commits, providence steps in.
It’s time to get out of your way, Bravehearts! Give yourself permission to dream. Allow your heart to jump with excitement and joy as you embark on the journey. I know you can do it! Dream big. Be bold. Expect miracles!

That is a powerful exercise, thank you.
So happy you liked it, Rachel! Thank you for stopping by. 🙂
Life without dreams is very dull!
Indeed!!! 😉
Loved this exercise! So powerful!
Could work for a writing prompt, too!!! 🙂
Love the encouragement to Dream Big and Expect Miracles!
Thank you, Heather. I keep reminding myself to do the same! <3
It’s so important to allow time in our lives for dreaming. Sometimes it’s something we forget to do when we’re “adulting.” <3
Oh, I love that reference to “adulting”, Michelle. That’s perfect! Yes, we do tend to take ourselves too seriously sometimes and dreaming is a great way to reconnect with the part of ourself that is not only willing, but desiring of stepping into uncharted territory! The curious self awaits!
On the one hand, I bemoan how stuck I still am and how much easier it is for me to see the negative than the positive. BUT! On the other hand, I celebrate that choosing positive dreams, visualizations, beliefs, and choices is accessible to me. Even if I don’t make a better choice all the time, at least I’m aware of the options — not stuck, free to move about the transformation cabin at will. Okay gonna stop now and share this; it’s been a long day and I feel gibberish-y.
It sounds like you are doing a good job of meeting yourself where you are, and shifting your vibration to where you want to be. Good for you, Sue. And you can be gibberish-y all you want. Sometimes that’s where the inspiration sneaks out! 😉
Great post Sheila! Very empowering and loved the questions you shared 🙂
